If you are attending Form IV in any school in Kota Kinabalu you are welcome to join this class. Registration for Form IV students will take place on Sunday, 27^th January 2008 at La Salle School, R. K. Centre (Senior School Hall, Jalan Murni) at 10.00am. Classes for last year’s students (Form V) will start at the same venue on Sunday, 20^th January 2008 at 2.00pm. This is a good course for faith knowledge and can add to your A’s in the SPM in 2008 / 2009. Teachers competent in Bible knowledge please offer your self to help in conducting this course. The Catholic Women's League of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish celebrated their 36^th anniversary on Thursday 15^th October 2007. The event started with a Mass at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel where all the members of the CWL renewed their pledge before God and the congregation of the parish community. The Mass was presided by Msgr Primus Jouil, with Fr. Michael Modoit and Fr. Wilfred Atin as con-celebrants.

The celebration continued with a dinner function at the Grand Portview Restaurant in the City center. The function was attended by some 400 people as well as His Lordship Bishop John Lee with several members of his clergy and representations from the various relegious communities from around the Diocese.

Mrs. Anita Tunggolou, the Chairperson of the CWL also introduced the new office bearers of the CWL who will be serving during the term of 2008/2009.

Fr. Triano Bogoni a visiting priest from Perth, Western Australia presided over the celebration of the 9.00 am (Second Mass) with us at the Sacred Heart Cathedral this morning (10^th November 2007).

He give a very enlightening homily on his life and calling to the priesthood and shared with us the experience of his recent pilgrimage to Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He also reminded us of the benefits of being devoted to Mother Mary and of the importance of praying the Rosary always. 

It would only be natural for many of us to lay back and take a long rest during the Raya Holidays. But this was not the case for 223 Sunday school students from the English speaking group who are preparing to take the sacrament of Confirmation next year.

Being an important part of their preparation for Confirmation, students who miss this workshop would not be entitled to partake in the sacrament next year. 

A workshop for candidates who are preparing to be confirmed in 2008 was held at the Parish Center of the Sacred Heart Cathedral on Monday 15^th October 2007. Two hundred and twenty-three candidates from the English language Faith Formation Ministry attended the workshop which started at 7.00 am and ended at 4.30 pm.
